当方もいろいろ情報を集めたり、研究会予定について考えたりしているうちに、ケインブリッジのクレアホール学寮から、こんなメールが到来しました。

The rapid spread of coronavirus into Europe as well as East Asia raises questions about policy on offering apartments and guestrooms to Visiting Fellows or Life Members who come from infected areas. We will for the time being, not offer accommodation to Visiting Fellows or Life Members who come from high risk areas (as defined by Public Health England, Categories 1 and 2[1]).
(つまりぼくたち日本から来訪するメンバーは中韓伊からの方たちと同じで、学寮宿泊を当面は謝絶いたします、という通知です。)

In part this is to protect the college from a possible source of infection, but equally it is to protect the visitor from the problems which they would face in the event that they had to be quarantined within college.
We have therefore instituted a practice of asking those who wish to book guestrooms whether they are travelling from an infected area, and if they are, to refuse the booking with apologies.
